Laundry Facilities onboard Carnival Freedom?

Are there laundry facilities aboard the Freedom? Call me the seasoned traveler who likes to go light. I hate checking bags when flying and can make do with a carryon if I can wash my own clothes. I know I can have the cruise line do it, but hey I am a cheap sort of person and 1 hour to launder my own clothes is not that big of a hassle. ;)

Any comments from the seasoned cruisers out there?

Have used the laundry on the Carnival Freedom both times. At that time they were $3. per load for washer and $3. per load for dryer and used quarters. Seems someone said they used S&S cards on Freedom lately. I do know the Sunshine is the same $3. per load and used S&S cards. Just be forewarned that you have to press the Start on the machine you swipe your S&S card as well as start on the washer or dryer. If you don't and try again, you are charged again. Happened to me and I went to Guest Services where they immediately credited the extra charge back. Another person was in the laundry at same time and did the same thing. She went and got them to make the correction. The dryer DOES dry in one cycle, unlike a commercial launderette.

I was on the Carnival Freedom Repo cruise (12 day) The fee remains $3.00 wash/ $3.00 dry and you now use your S&S card. The washers say they run a certain amount of time but tend to take just a little longer as the water pressure is low so it takes longer to fill the machine. The dryers are spot on with the timer. If IRC 35 -45 washer and about the same for the dryer.
