by the way, what makes a ship an 's' class?

thanks,

S-Class ships are the ships that are of similar design to Solstice. They are the newest ships in Celebrity's fleet. Currently Solstice, Equinox and Eclipse comprise the Solstice Class ships and have exactly the same deck plan and only minor differences in the public venues. Silhouette is the fourth S-Class ship and will start sailing soon; she will be slightly different than the first three (i.e. no Hot Glass show, a couple of new dining venues etc.) and Reflections next year will the the fifth S-Class ship and will also be a bit different than the others.

We were in AQ `1640 and 1642 last December and they were dead quite and quite well located nearer the 10 bay eleveator bank.

Yes there is an overhang. Its also good when it rains since no water ever touches veranda.

We are booked in the same cabins this August for a Baltic cruise

I understand that 1642 (not sure about 1640) has a ventalation fan/vent above the balcony door on the outside. Any issues with noise or odors from it while out on the balcony or on the inside for that matter? Couldn't be too bad if you have booked these cabins again.
