BroncosFan2010 Posted February 20, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2011 We took a taxi, $20 for two people each way. We got off the ship, asked a guy to drive us there, bargained the price, and he agreed to come pick us up at a given time. No hassle at all. beachlady2 Posted February 21, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 21, 2011 Was the aquarium good? Is the beach right outside the aquarium? Is beach access included in the price of admission to aquarium? TIA Michele
BroncosFan2010 Posted February 21, 2011 #4 Share Posted February 21, 2011 Was the aquarium good? Is the beach right outside the aquarium? Is beach access included in the price of admission to aquarium? TIA Michele We thought the aquarium was worth the cost. The dolphin show was good, and we really enjoyed the glass bottom boat to watch the huge turtles and sharks. We also got to feed the sharks and pet them!! It was one of my favorite moments of the cruise. We did not go to the beach, so I am not sure if it is included. Perhaps you can ask this on the Curacao boards and someone else will know. beachlady2 Posted February 21, 2011 #5 Share Posted February 21, 2011 Thank you! How much time did you allow for the aquarium, to see everything? Michele
mrspjotter Posted February 21, 2011 #6 Share Posted February 21, 2011 We were in Curacao at the Aquarium and beach this time last week! We did a morning tour with P&O and we caught the Pelican Express out to the beach - the boat ride was about 30 mins and included entrance to the beach a lounger and a drink. We arrived at 11 am and the "public" chairs which we had access to were very crowded and busy but it is a lovely place with bars and shops by the beach and you could easily spend a whole morning or afternoon at the aquarium. mamaofami Posted February 22, 2011 #7 Share Posted February 22, 2011 We didn't go inside to the acquarium, but followed a path which one of the hosts took us down and went to a lovely beach down at the end of several other beaches. I don't think it had a name, other than acquarium beach. Chairs, umbrellas, food, changing rooms. Very nice and peaceful.
Jerseypoet Posted April 16, 2011 #8 Share Posted April 16, 2011 If you walk through downtown, there is a bus terminal where you can take the mini bus to seaquarium for like $2pp (asked for directions to terminal). When we left the beach, we exited through the parking lot and walked down the street for about a 1/4 of a mile to catch the bus back. Then took a different bus to the liquor factory.
