The Best Western is an older (1970s) motel that seems to be reasonably-well maintained. It is about 8 miles north of the Port of Miami and about 12 miles northeast of Miami International Airport. You can walk to 3 or 4 decent restaurants, a small liquor store and a small supermarket, although walking after dark is a little iffy. A bus that stops across the street will take you to South Beach in about one-half hour. It is not as nice as a typical Miami airport hotel. The best reason for staying there is if you absolutely, positively refuse to ride in a taxi under any circumstances (because its "cruise package" includes a shuttle van to the Port).
