Conquest Lido balcolny room..

We had a price drop on our cruise on the conquest in march and we got upgraded from an 8th floor balcolny mid ship to a lido balcolny room 9290 its the first room when you walk off the lido deck. I have never stayed in any room above the 4th floor so I have no idea what to expect out of this room. Is that a good location or would you have stuck with the 8th floor mid ship balcolny. Can anybody with some experience with a room in this general location help me out and convince me this is a better room than the one I had?

We sailed on the Conquest on Feb 6th, we were in cabin 9248. Here is what we liked about the location.

It was quiet. We never heard a sound in the hallway at night even though the elevators were just a few steps away.

We could go to the buffet and bring things back to our cabin without having to use the elevator or navigate stairs.

We loved watching the ship sail into port from the forward observation deck just a few steps away.

We liked having the laundry facility a few steps down the hall. We used the iron a few times without waiting.

We loved being able to go to the Toulouse-Lautrec, casino, lobby or sports bar from the elevators next to our cabin. It's a great location.

It's a great location......we were upgraded last year on the Conquest to the Lido and loved it.......we booked it again for October. It's nice to walk out to the coffee pot in the morning, the buffet, food area, the pool and hot tubs, easy to get down to the Promonade. It's also a quiet area when you want some quiet. We've had balconies on the 7th and 8th decks but this is by far our favorite location.

We had 9287 on Conquest. It was a guarantee cabin and I was worried about noise from the Lido deck or the atrium, or people walking by our cabin, but it turned out to be one of our favorite locations on this class of ship. People do not walk right by the cabin - although it is near the elevator, there is a passageway from the Lido entrance to the elevators that does not go by the cabins. No noise from the atrium. And it's way too convenient to the buffet and the bars.;)

We just booked 9293 on the Conquest for October...I am so excited, we can't wait because we have heard nothing but good things about the location. We have 4 cabins side by side, hoping to get the balcony partition's opened to all be together for sail aways.
