Galveston...which Holiday Inn?

I can stay at either one for about the same price....Sunspree or the other Holiday Inn Resort. I am looking for nearby restaurants within walking distance.

For our first trip to Galveston, we chose the Holiday Inn Sunspree. Main criteria was an ocean view, and good reviews. The Sunspree is #10 on TripAdvisor, and we get 2000 bonus miles, so that clinched it for us. We won't have a vehicle either, but it looks there are a multitude of restaurants within a mile or so of either property. If the weather's nice, it will be a good walk back after dinner!

I guess I should have been more specific! We have reservations at the Sunspree, but won't be there until April 1st. It looks like a fun place with Capt. Jacks, the open air tiki bar.
