Midlandscruiser Posted February 26, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 26, 2011 Does anyone know where I can get a street map for Gibraltar? I have information from their tourist board, but there is no map. Could this be because you don't really need one to get about? Thanks

Rare John Bull Posted February 28, 2011 #4 Share Posted February 28, 2011 Hi, Midlander, Gib is basically just the busy Main Street, from Casemates Square (pubs, cafes, etc) to Southport Gates & the little Trafalgar cemetery, with the lower cable-car station & Alameda Gardens beyond. So you don't really need a map. But this one is useful for orientation, because it shows the places of interest. Cruise ships berth on the "North Mole". http://www.planetware.com/map/gibraltar-map-gbz-gib_n.htm The town is on level ground, but all maps are deceptive because east of the built-up area is an almost sheer climb to the upper Rock. Most folk tour the upper Rock by taxi or cable-car, then mooch around the cafes & shops. John Bull
