cruiserw/kids Posted February 27, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2011 Will be on the Serenade of the Seas, docking in St. Thomas on Sunday, April, 3. I noticed that we will be the only ship in port that day. I understand many stores are closed on Sundays, but not sure if that also means that there will be few cabs and privately arranged tours available. Can anyone provide insight? Host Kewlguy Posted February 27, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 27, 2011 While many of the stores may be closed on Sunday there will be no shortage of taxi's or tours available.
paulap70 Posted February 27, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 27, 2011 While many of the stores may be closed on Sunday there will be no shortage of taxi's or tours available. We were on Serenade a year ago and most of the shops were open, although I'm thinking the downtown shops may have closed early, like 2 or 3 PM. The shops hear Havensight were open until the ship sailed.
DonnaK Posted February 27, 2011 #4 Share Posted February 27, 2011 If you're looking for a great tour, I highly recommend Papa Bear (www.havefunwithus.net) He is very passionate about his island! Even though we've been to St. Thomas many times, he showed us things off the beaten path that we hadn't seen on our previous trips to the island. cruisenfever Posted February 27, 2011 #5 Share Posted February 27, 2011 We were in St. Thomas this past January on Enchantment on a Sunday and some stores in town closed at 2PM. Stores at Havensight were opened until 5.
