Cab fare from Fort Lauderdale Airport to downtown Miami????

I am planning my next cruise and need some help with an estimate for cab fare from Fort Lauderdale airport to our downtown Miami hotel. I was wondering if a car rental would be cheaper.

We got a quote from Ambassador Limo for $69 all inclusive (tip included, no airport pick up charge) for a sedan. Renting a car might be cheaper, but we didn't want to hassle with it.
