izzydog Posted February 28, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2011 We have scheduled to cave tube and zip line with Major Tom on our upcoming cruise stop in Belize. We will be in Belize from 8A-6P. After reading these boards it seems that no one does both it is either one or the other and my wife is wondering if it is because there won't be enough time for both. We want to make sure we don't miss the boat! Any input on the subject would be appreciated!
vacjunkie Posted March 1, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 1, 2011 We did both last September with our personal group of 14 and it was close. I believe we got back to the tender port with only 15 minutes til the last tender and we were on the 1st tender off the ship as they request. Our group of 20-30 somethings liked the zip line better than the cave tubing if that helps.
izzydog Posted March 3, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted March 3, 2011 Did you guys make any extra stops, or have anything that caused a delay? Thanks for the input, I really appreciate it.
vacjunkie Posted March 5, 2011 #4 Share Posted March 5, 2011 No extra stops except to the bathroom before we came back :) We got off the ship on the 1st tender and then met up with Major Tom as soon as we docked at the port. We waited around for a long time, it seemed even longer than it was because you know they try to sell more spots to people getting off the tender. Then they walked us out to a bus away from the terminal. The guys (Mogley & Mike) were great. They made the day fun. To be honest with you on the drive back I was nervous we'd miss the last tender, but we didn't so the experience was great. Depending on the size of your group, you might have a different experience with time.
