I was considering canceling my carnival travel insurance and finding my own. With so many different insurance companies out there which companies are reputable, or which one sure I steer away from?

CSA Travel Insurance and Travel Insured are good companies. They have been around for quite a while and will probably cost less than Carnival's.

I always use Travel Guard. They are much better than cruise line insurance, but bear in mind pre-existing conditions won;t be included if insurance is booked more than 14 days after initial deposit.

If Ken finds this thread he will weigh in but even if you purchase the cruise line's insurance pre-existing conditions are not waived unless you pay for the insurance at the time of purchase - not just added on to the invoice but actually paid for.

CSA Travel Insurance's Custom Luxe covers pre existing conditions as long as book it before final payment. for me and my family it will save us around $100.

We have been useing Travel Guard and have been very happy with it. You can make work for you. Only had to use them 1 time and had no problems, they were very helpfull.
