kuldalai Posted March 4, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 4, 2011 Superstar VIRGO is an excellent ship with a very professional crew and high standards of accommodation, entertainment and food and beverage. Downside is that the Operator Star Cruises primarily operates the vessel as a floating Casino primarily aimed at the Asian gambling market, with silly little "Mickey Mouse" cruises of 3 - 4 days out of Singapore . Whilst longer 7 day itineraries are offered they involve either two calls at Port Klang or 2 calls at Singapore . Puchasing a balcony should entitle you to an on board credit which you can spend only on grog or at several specialty restaurants on board . The best of these are NOBLE HOUSE (Chinese) or PALAZZO (Italian.) For a short duration cruise in the Staits of Malacca by all means go for SS VIRGO . For a longer duration Asian cruise out of Singapore, Hong Kong or Shanghai suggest you look at Costa Classica (year round) or Princess Cruises (from Late December to May next year.)
