closest hotel or parking to Galveston pier

what are some of the closer discounted hotels close to the Pier in Galveston? Do you know if any offer free cruise parking and if so which ones offer shuttle as well? Not sure if I want to get a close hotel with free parking that we can walk to pier or shuttle or just park at one of the cheaper parking lots. Any info is appreciated, will be cruising April 11th on Ecstasy.

The closest hotels to the port are the Tremont and Harbor House. Not deep discount hotels. The island is 2 miles at its widest and 27 miles long. Nothing is very far, but too far to walk to the port.

Many hotels offer free parking and shuttle service.

See if the search feature works. Someone went to a lot of trouble to list many of the hotels and what they offer as far as shuttles and parking is concerned. Sometimes Google works better for searching cc than cc does.
