48 in. Height at Atlantis Questions

New here to Cruise Critic. Hoping to take my 8 yr. old son to Atlantis in Oct. As of right now he is about 47.25 inches. He has a growth hormone disorder and is short for his age. Hoping he makes it to 48 inches by October!

 

For those of you who have been to Atlantis, where do they measure height? Is it before entering while wearing sneakers? or Is it once you are inside and barefoot or aqua socks? Do kids get an armband to mark they are 48 in? Can we expect them to be measuring him at each slide to double check his height?

There are check point at every slide.. I've seen kids ok'd at the bottom of the stairs, then turned away when they got to the top

 

I don't think aqua socks will make a difference.

 

There's still some to enjoy. He will be able to do the one that you stay in your tube and go up to the top on the conveyor belt.
