First timer......

Booked a one week stay for 4th of July at Sunshine Suites in Grand Cayman. Will probably rent a car for a few days. Can someone recommend some must do's on our tour of the island. We already plan to do a jet ski stingray city excursion and might go to turtle farm. I hear Cayman Kai is a beach to go to to see starfish? Also I hear cemetary beach has amazing snorkeling. Any other tips?

There is a Cayman Kai Public Beach, but you won't find Starfish there. Ivory Kai, down the road a piece is where starfish beach is located. Here is a good source of info on Star Fish Beach

 

Also, if you are an avid snorkeler Cemetery Beach may be a let down. Since you are staying over on island, check that web blog for the best places to snorkel. ;)

Trip Advisor is a good place to find info. We're going back to Cayman again in a couple of weeks. I posted things we do when we're on the island on that thread I mentioned. We love being able to rent a car and drive around the island. We plan our days around the cruise ship schedule. We're doing stingray sandbar when there are no ships in port. The last time we were there, we were the only boat on the sandbar and it was amazing! Have fun.
