pinma Posted March 4, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2011 Can you change cabins within the same category after booking? If yes, does the price stay the same or will the price be whatever the new room is booking for at that time?
Wine-O Posted March 4, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 4, 2011 Can you change cabins within the same category after booking? If yes, does the price stay the same or will the price be whatever the new room is booking for at that time? Yes, and yes. We do it all the time. As final payment nears, people cancel and more desirable staterooms become available. There's no extra charge to change within the same category. If you booked thru Celebrity, just call their 800 number. If not, your travel agent will have to call Celebrity on your behalf.
mcmarya Posted March 4, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 4, 2011 If the price of your cruise happens to go down after final payment, you may be able to change to a higher category cabin that is now the same price as the price you paid.
Somonica Posted March 4, 2011 #4 Share Posted March 4, 2011 yes, as other posters said... We change from C3 => AQ => 1C and saved about $900... and we're still a week before the final payment... ;)
pinma Posted March 4, 2011 Author #5 Share Posted March 4, 2011 Well, then, booking as soon as the bookings open is going to make for a fun year of watching for price drops and better cabins to open up! Talk about anticipation :-)
