extractfairy Posted March 5, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2011 what does "bump" mean in a thread?
Shomari Posted March 5, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2011 ... It means someone (me) wanted to push (or "bump") the topic back to the top... Since, the longer a topic goes without a response--the farther down the list it goes... Ususally done because there was a question that wasn't answered. Retired LEO Posted March 5, 2011 #4 Share Posted March 5, 2011 It's also against the CC guidelines. Bumping Please do not manipulate postings on the boards by "bumping" topics to the top of the forum. Members will assume something of value has been posted, only to find that the newest posting is nothing more than a "bump post". This only wastes everyone's time.
