our cruise is stopping in GRand Cayman in April. I hear people say that this is the place to buy jewelry? why? it is cheap? do you have recommendations on stores and why?

Grand Caymen is higher because of the dollar value... if you are stopping in St. Thomas , St. Martin, etc.. prices will be lower than Grand Cayman
