ionsys Posted March 13, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2011 7nights, only has 2 sea days excl the tendered days, if you are on the right side balcony facing the front of the ship--when it docks, does your balcony face away from the pier or face the pier? Toyz711 Posted March 13, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2011 it changes, according to how the winds are blowing, currents and if they back in or pull straight up.
salty dingo Posted March 13, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 13, 2011 We picked the port side to see the city and the ships as we pass them sailing down to the gulf.
klingoncruiser Posted March 13, 2011 #4 Share Posted March 13, 2011 Spirit is once again going to be very late getting in. She had a medical emergency and they are telling us to NOT get to the dock until 5PM. Oh boy, this is going to be fun.
salty dingo Posted March 13, 2011 #5 Share Posted March 13, 2011 That would be a drag, but if you have to have a delayed departure, NOLA is a great place for that to happen. Just drop off the bags and hoof it over to the French Quarter and get the party started! You'll never miss the ship!!

And a beer. Or two. or three.
packercruising Posted March 13, 2011 #7 Share Posted March 13, 2011 If it is the same itinerary we had last year, here are some pics of Costa Maya. I have pics of Cozumel too if you want to see them. The falls in Guatemala are more like a trickle. Enjoy the cruise! :)
tallyho8 Posted March 13, 2011 #8 Share Posted March 13, 2011 It's 12:50 and the Spirit isn't in New Orleans yet. It usually gets here very early in the morning.
1stTimer02/2011 Posted March 13, 2011 #9 Share Posted March 13, 2011 The reason for the delay today: "Norwegian Spirit had to divert from its return course for an emergency medical evacuation involving a guest on board. Because of this, the ship is now scheduled to arrive into New Orleans later than originally scheduled ...on Sunday, March 13, 2011. Instead of the scheduled arrival at 8 am, the ship will now arrive alongside into the Port of New Orleans at approximately 3 pm. Therefore, check-in and embarkation will begin at approximately 5 pm. We strongly encourage all guests to please delay their arrival to the terminal until 5 pm"
