where to snorkel after zip line?

We're considering doing the Pirates of the Caribbean Extreme Zip line. We'd like to snorkel afterward. They do ofter the zip n dip (for 20 extra per person) which goes to the beach with snorkel gear able to be rented there.

 

Would it be feasible to just do the zip line and then go out on our own to snorkel off of a beach? (is the reef even accessible off of the beach?) I know that we'd have to take a taxi somewhere, so not sure if it'd even really save much money.

 

At Mahogany Bay Cruise Center, is there snorkel gear for rent at the beach to just snorkel from there?
