Fort Lauderdale Hotels

I can't find it here but know that someone mentioned a hotel near the cruise terminal that was close to shopping and also the small ferries. Help please

That's probably the HolidayInn Express or the Renaissance Hotel, both on 17th Street.

The Renaissance on 17th is at the port gates and about 3 blocks to Harbor Shops with its Total Wine and Publix, across the parking lot from Bravo Ristoranti and the Bimini Boat Yard, a block or so from Starbucks and Einstein Bros. Bagels, and 2 blocks from the Water Taxi. Hilton Marina is at the Water Taxi and 2 blocks further away from the above.

Highly recommend the Mariott Renaissance as well. Also Walgreens is right across the street for those forgotten items or late night munchie attacks.

Hyatt Place North is also right next to the shopping center on 17th St.

Go to tripadvisor.com, Ft. Lauderdale, and there are lots of nice informative people who can help you with all your Ft. Lauderdale related questions. If they don't know the answer, they'll find out:)

Springhill Suites, Airport & Cruiseport, By Marriott.. Will pick you up at airport and take you to cruise lines too. If you come in a day early.. Very nice.

To the OP, you wanted to be near the shops and Water Taxi, some of these properties suggested are not near the Intracoastal Waterway (for the Water Taxi) and alot of shops nearby. Check each one on the property's website.

We love the Embassy Suites! Free drinks & snacks in the evening & a great cooked to order breakfast in the morning. A nice walk to the water taxi & the great "boats" in the marina. Right near the Total wine store & a Publix grocery...that also has a great little area to heat & eat with many choices for lunch...very inexpensive.
