bjcanady Posted March 15, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 15, 2011 We sailed on MSC Poesia for the first time Feb. 13-20....... we are hooked......if you are dancers you will be in heaven. Dancing starts in 2 back to back lounges at 5 or 5:30 and continues until around 1:30. 2 fabubous groups in each lounge so there are really no breaks, just continuous music. We danced to everything from Ava Maria to Johnny Cash and everything in between. (even Flight of the Bumblebee with a fantastic jazz duo), and we are ones who hate jazz. This is the way Princess use to be, they have cut back on dancing until we have seeked it elsewhere, and have now found what we are looking for, just sorry that MSC is here for such a short time. We had an inside room on deck 12 aft, 2 doors from the outside deck and one flight down from the buffet, perfect for us as we no longer eat in the dining rooms, buffet was fine for us, food was well prepared and plenty to choose from, talked to many that used the dining rooms, some thought it was terrible and others said it was fabulous......... also can't comment on the shows as we never went, too busy dancing. This is late because as fantastic as the cruise was for us, i got sick on the last day, still danced the last nite but didn't make it too late, finally gave up and went to emergency after 4 days of husband insisting, and ended up in hospital with pneumonia in both lungs, and just now thinking that i might live, knocked the socks off this old gal. We found the crew to be wonderful, as was our fellow passengers, well mannered, well dressed and very outgoing.
AmoMondo Posted March 15, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 15, 2011 Glad to hear you had a lovely time. Really sorry to hear about the pneumonia. That really takes it out of you. My friend at work has been off sick the last 3 weeks with it and has only returned this weeek but can only manage half days rather than full ones because she is so tired all the time.
