I know it can be just the luck of the draw recieving this. I surely would love to get it. We are looking at a fall cruise and a extra 25% off would make me book!!

I am wondering if there is any links on those who have them....

have you sailed lately?

Do you ahve bookings right now?

Are you big spenders in the casino?

Anything else that might link you?

I was told it was the luck of the draw however I am not sure if I believe that. Because 3 of us received them in my family.

Last time we three sailed was October 2009

We do have a booking this upcoming October

Big spenders.. hmm not really.

But the cash was definitely based on how much we spend for sure. My mom only plays quarters and nickels and received $25.00

My boyfriend messes around here and there but nothing serious and he received $75.00

I love the Wheel of Fortune and play $3.00 hands. Last 2 cruises I won't over $600 and $800 and made more than I spent. I received $100.00 in the mail.

Hope this helps answer your questions a bit.

We received ours last week. It was about two weeks after we booked our 4/23/11 cruise. I got $100 and my wife got $75. We both enjoy the slots and each of us accumulate at least 1000 points, sometimes 2000. I wish we could use the 25% coupon on this cruise, but it's already paid in full. Our last cruise was August 2010. We try to cruise at least once a year.

Hmmm... I wonder if I got it in the mail & threw it out thinking it was junk mail or yet another solicitation for that silly Carnival credit card.

I sure would like to have one of these discount offers & casino $$! :D

I got mine yesterday. Sailed 3 times last year. Feb cruise, spent every night in the casino. Won as much as I lost and won and lost again. Must have played on same $500 for the entire week. October played a couple of times. December, had a voucher for $50 casino cash. Literally got my cash from the casino cage, stuck it in a machine, piddled it away along with another $100 bucks. That was the only night I spent in the casino on that short trip (we were busy doing everything else). Not sure how they select people for the voucher but sure am glad I got one. Now I have a great excuse to book another cruise this year! Not that I needed an excuse. :D

ETA: Just booked my April cruise a week or so ago. Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but noticed another poster had booked an April cruise around the same time and also got the certificate.

ETA again: I usually play max on slots ($2 usually) and craps but I've never been rated on craps table. Play slots mostly.

Got one today, I booked a cruise 10 days ago, for next month, pack and go rate...I am not a big spender but I do play around in the casino. I got 25 dollars...

Sure has me thinking about booking one for September now... grrrr! Carnival stop tempting me! I have never booked a vacation while I already have one booked... smart marketing, I am thinking.. because I don't think I can pass this up!

I got mine last week, 2 days after I paid off my September cruise. I've done 2 cruises a year for the past couple of years. I love the penny and nickle slots. Usually get between 2000-3000 points each trip. Have gotten the bon voyage gifts before for the past 5 cruises. This was the first time I have gotten the casino cash. I may have gotten it in the past and thrown it away. The envelope is pre sort standard. I normally throw those away. Lucky for me I opened this one:D

Received two yesterday afternoon - one for DF & one for my mom. We sailed the Dream in June 2010, and have another cruise booked on the Dream for this coming June. I originally threw both of them in the trash, and when I started reading these threads, I went through the trash & pulled them out. We booked the cruise a month ago & even though it says its for new bookings only, I figured I'd still give it a shot. Good thing I did - they applied the coupon to my booking & for my Mom's booking. My mom & I each saved $250 on each of our bookings, plus got $75 in casino cash each. Good thing our final payment isn't due until April 4, I have a feeling that they wouldn't be able to do anything if the cruise was paid off. I'm very happy with the outcome :D

Also.. DF & my mom both played in the casino every day when it was open. They are both big into slots. My mom won $2700 on the last cruise. DF won nothing, lol. They each probably spent $700 in the casino for the week, possibly more. I didn't get anything for myself even though I'm part of the player's club, probably because I'm more of a Bingo person :) I won the $1,500 Cash Craze last year, hehe!

I'm curious how you got the % off. I also got one of these letters in the mail. It says 25% off and $100 for the casino. I called the # on the letter and she said to just bring the $100 voucher to the cashier cage to get my money. She also said that my cruise fare would be $40.00 less per person and all I had to do was fill out the price protection claim form and I would get the $40.00 per per in obc for the cruise. I booked this cruise this past January, I am not sailing until Sept., 2011 and it is not paid off yet. I filled out the price protection claim form and the following is what I got as a response:

Your Early Saver price protection request has been denied. The PCR promotion is not applicable to Early Saver since it is not a publicly advertised rate available to the general public. We apologize for the confusion with the promotion.

Did you book early saver and they still gave you the 25% off?

11 Carnival cruises and spend a good deal of time in the casino. Play table games only and above table minimum, but nothing huge. No offers in the mail.

But, we do call the OPC or CPC before every cruise and have received either cash at the cage or a package in our room each time.

Two of my buddies that gambled big on our cruise last year didn't receive anything in the mail either. We all called the CPC a week or two ago and received our offers over the phone. But, no discount.

We are all sailing April 2nd. One booked 8 months ago and we booked within the last 3 weeks.

I'm not really sure why I got mine. I took a little 2 night cruise to nowhere in Oct. 09. I spent some time in the casino only playing the slots. I don't remember losing that much that they now consider me a "Carnival casino VIP", I wonder if this now entitles me to VIP boarding? I didn't win anything and I would guess that I probably lost arount $300, I'm sure if it was a longer cruise I would have lost alot more. But I'm thankful for the $100 casino credit for my upcoming cruise even if they don't give me the % off because it does clearly state on the letter that its for new bookings only, now I wish I had waited to book my cruise but I couldn't predict that I would have gotten one of these letters.
