I love cruising with carnival but.....

Recommended Posts

I love carnival but... their booking engine sucks... put in all your info, then it resets itself. It has become a real pain. Wish they would go back to the more user friendly booking engine... it is sad when you have to go to a different website to view the cruises...

I love carnival but... wish they would throw away the big screens on the Lido deck. I love CCL but wish they would go back to a cruise being just that, a trip on the ocean, not a visit the the movie theatre like we have at home...

I love carnival AND I wish they would bring back the rum swizzle parties... on boarding day...
Well, if only Carnival would cruise out of Montana, AND Arizona, our problem would be solved!!! :D
Well, there you go - some nice river and lake cruises :D but i REALLY LOVE the caribbean - especially on days like today where we got about 8 inches of really wet, heavy snow

But, I wish Carnival would:

1. lower the beer prices
2. have more outside activities at night
3. Change the group department to the way it used to be...flex deposits, personal service.
4. offer a 5 day cruise with only 1 port.
5. offer better casino perks

This is in response to a question on something that I said:

It is a requirement of the Passenger Services Act. The Passenger Services Act is a piece of United States legislation which came into force in 1886 relating to cabotage. Essentially, it says:

No foreign vessels shall transport passengers between ports or places in the United States, either directly or by way of a foreign port, under a penalty of $300 for each passenger so transported and landed.

Any vessel subject to the Jones Act counts as a US vessel. Under the Passenger Services Act of 1886, 46 App. U.S.C. § 289, foreign-flagged vessels cannot transport passengers directly between U.S. ports.

If you see a flag that looks like this:
Four squares, top left white with a blue star, bottom left is fully blue, top right is fully red and bottom right a red star
Then it is a Panamanian flagged vessel... (Aka foreign - the cruise ships that I have been on have generally had the flag of Panama on them.)

So any ship that starts in South Carolina (as an example) & stops in New York (as another example) also must travel to Canada or Bermuda as two logical examples...
I love Carnival, but I wish they would build something new and innovative. Too much sameness across the ship classes.
I agree I wish they would change the ships up make each one different and special that way everyone wants to cruise the ships to see what that one has to offer.
Princess has some nice 10 day cruises. I am thinking about doing one, maybe next year. I did NCL and the food is the main reason I would not sail them again.
Same with me I have done 2 NCL and the food has been bad on both. I do not understand why. I ship was nice. The places we went where nice but the food sucked and it is also why I will never cruise them again unless I have no other option.
