I just got blessed by the Upgrade Fairy... Inside to an Outside (Yay!). I was wondering if luggage tags are handled @ the time of check in or outside. I will be taking a taxi from SJU to Pan Am Pier for a cruise this Sunday (Marcy 27, 2011).

Luggage is turned over before check in. If you were upgraded, you should be able to print new luggage tags with the proper stateroom number on it. Even if the Personalizer is locked, you will still be able to print off new ones. I think that is what you are asking, but I have read it three times and still not sure. :confused:

My T.A. printed luggage tags for me, did a nice job, laminated etc...

 

I didn't know I could print my own luggage tags. How will they stay on?

If they are laminated (or you just print them off and laminate them yourself), just punch a hole through the tag and lamination. Take a zip tie and secure it to the luggage handle. OR, staple it securely. Enjoy!

I thought we would need to turn our luggage over to the porters before checking in. Wanted to be sure that our bags got to our room.
