I was wondering if they still had tha camels outside of the casino. When we were on the Glory they were looking rather worn but she has been to dry dock since.

Great reveiw.... Keep it coming

Well, it looks like you are very seasoned travellers (or cruisers) and I'm sure you could teach us a few things!! ;)

We're really looking forward to our first cruise, especially since we are having a horrible snow/ice storm today.... :(

We'll be one of the last families boarding the ship, because our flight times are horrible, but please forgive us, Carnival booked these flights! We have to make the most of it! LOL!!

yes, we love to cruise! Would love to meet up with you and help you in anyway possible. Have you been on the RollCall?

Ok folks, where was I? Ah yes exploring the ship and enjoying the events on our first day at sea. Before I continue on with that, I realized I forgot to mention the muster drill from our first day. We got down there 10-15 minutes early thinking it would be courteous to do so. Well, not everyone thought like us. There were people who were already clearly intoxicated showing up 15 or 20 minutes late! They didn't start up until everyone was there and this became really frustrating. We like to take everything in stride and just go with the flow so it didn't anger us really. One older gentleman that was about 3 people down was clearly getting VERY upset. He kept yelling out "C'MON LET'S GO!" as loud as he could. It was actually sort of comical.

So back to our fun day at sea. I participated in the free throw contest on the sports deck. Had a great first round but completely BOMBED the second round so I didn't advance. Sadness, I know. We checked out the casino a little bit and watched a tutorial on craps. Well, let's just say that I was (am) hooked! I played every day since then and came home with an extra 180 bucks! Woohoo!

That night was our first elegant night so we got all dolled up and made it to the MDR to meet up with our friends from the night before. Here we are enjoying life...

I didn't notice too many people not complying with the dress code but there were a few flip-flop wearers present. This didn't bother me in the least. I know a lot of seasoned cruisers get upset with this but I don't care what others are wearing. I'm dressed up and look good, why should I care if someone else looks like a slob? Oh well, to each his own.

Our food was excellent and I remember getting the steak again that night. It was cooked just the way I liked it and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Of course I had the CMC again and it was even better than the night before (if that was even possible!).

After dinner we (all three couples) went to the Punchliners show.

Our waiter was great and quickly learned that we were big fans of Hurricane Waves! Every night we went there he would great us with "So how many Waves tonight?" It was nice that he remembered us.

We always got to the lounge early to make sure that we got a nice seat near the front. It definitely filled up by the time the show started so I would highly recommend getting there a bit early (15-20 min was what we usually did).

We watched both R rated shows and they were very funny. I'm a big fan of comedy so it was really great to see that Carnival had some shows to enjoy. I would recommend them to anyone to at least give a shot. You never know if it will be your thing or your type of comedy but you're on vacation, BE ADVENTUROUS!

After the shows we decided to call it a night and we made it back to our room to find our second friend...

This, I believe, is a rabbit. I would like to note that at this point I still haven't met our room steward. He/she hasn't made any attempt to greet me or make himself known. After reading up on all the reviews prior to going and how cruisers usually get acquainted with these folk I was surprised at this point. Maybe we just haven't crossed paths at this point?

To be continued...

Great review so far.....love the pics....reading this at work just makes me wanna not be here at all lol, especially since i sail in exactly 2 weeks from today on the Ecstasy!!! woohoo!!!

Glad to hear you did well playing craps.....im a big craps player myself, but i never played on the ship

what were the table limits?

and were the craps tables open early like the blackjack tables? I've been reading on diff threads that on some ships there werent many craps players and they would only open up the tables late (around 7pm). And even then it would only be 1-2 people playing. How was the crowd at the craps table during your cruise?

Keep up the good work on the great review! :D

I am sad to report that I do not remember what was in these. :( Sorry. All I remember is that it had hurricane mix in there.

A google search indicates that a hurricane wave is a mix of a banana and hurricane daiquiri. Now, I can't wait to try one! :D

Crzyfish, you are a person after my own heart! :D I did a bit of googling and found that it is a mixture of a banana daiquiri and a hurricane daquiri. I don't know exactly what a hurricane daiquiri is, but I DO know that I'll be having one to find out as soon as I board!! :D

Another fan here of your review. In 203 days we will board the Glory in Norfolk, VA for a 6 day cruise to Bermuda. We have only been on the Legend and the Miracle so far, so this is a new class of ship for us.

I've read about the Fish and Chips station for lunch on the Lido. Is it on the same deck or a deck above ? Is there an elevator that goes there, or do you have to use the steps?

I'm anxious to read more and see more of your photos. They are great. You and your girlfriend look smashing in your blue for elegant night. Keep those photos coming. We're all hooked on this review.

Fish and Chips is a deck above. There will be steps in the lido restaurant for you to go up there. Not sure if there's an elevator or not...

Thanks, we'll find it.

Today we took a ride to Rehoboth Beach, DE. There is a British Fish and Chips place there which we stopped in to see if they had sandwiches. No, only dinners. The dinner offering (which we passed on since we wanted sandwiches) was ONE rather long, narrow piece of fish, a few fries, a small amount of cole slaw for $10.99. If you wanted two pieces of fish, it was an additional $8.00. I told my husband, " Never fear, there is a Fish and Chips station on the Glory." NO CHARGE ! Looking forward to that.
