Hi. Thinking about cruising on HAL to far east in jan wondering what to expect weatherwise...

I lived in Japan for 2 years:

Sometimes it rains.

Sometimes it snows.

Sometimes it's bright and sunny.

Definitely bring a raincoat and an umbrella...

Zandamm leaves from Singapore, travels in SE Asia and finally arrives at Hong Kong.

Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Sanya are hot year round. January is the coldest month in Hong Kong. In general, temperature is in 60s but if the NE monsoon really hits, it can drop to 30s. Because of wind chill, it can be cold. Unless you are from Florida or SoCal or Texas, you still will bring your winter coat which should be more than thick enough for Hong Kong Winter.

You don't need a visa to visit Singapore, Thailand or Hong Kong and of course you do for others.
