Dawn Princess - Birthday Celebrations

I know this has been answered somewhere but just don't know where to look!

 

My Bonus Mom (Step-mother) and I are on the April 19th sailing - her birthday is April 15. I've put it in the cruise personalizer to celebrate it the first night we are on ship.

 

Can anyone tell me exactly what happens for a birthday celebration? Door decorations, etc.?:confused:

The waiters will gather around & sing Happy Birthday, when the cake is brought to the dinner table.

Since you are celebrating the first night onboard, you might want to make sure to alert the waiter about it, just in case. Also, if you are not at an assigned table, let the waiter know about the birthday so he can provide the cake.

 

The room steward should have the balloons put in place without any reminder.

Glad to know they will do something! We have assigned seating but I will still alert the waiter.

Belinda although the 'cakes' have improved over the years they don't stand up to most of the menu dessert items. I recommend if you see something else you would like make certain you order it and then just have a small polite taste of the cake.

Definately check with the waiter. My DH put into our personalizer my birthday, which was the day before boarding. He put down the first formal night for the cake. It arrived 4 nights later. I don't know why, so just check and make sure they bring it on the date you want it. This happened this past Jan. on the Dawn.
