So both the Empress deck and the Upper deck are protected from above by overhangs?

I believe that the over hang on the Upper deck extend out a little past your balcony and on the empress deck the over hang is even with your balcony...this is all coming from what I have read and pics of the deck plans. I will find out for sure in a couple week!!!!

I know this is an old post but I wanted to warn people about U 239 aft balcony on Sensation. We paid a pretty penny for this cabin last August. When we opened the door ..bang right into a pole inside the cabin. If one was a large person they might not be able to get into the cabin as the door only opens partway. Also the noise from the engines and stabilizers were atrocious and we were woken up several times a night. We have been in other afts (on NCL) and there was minimum noise. We plan to sail in an aft on the Sunshine and will let you know how it goes.
