joealan Posted March 27, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 27, 2011 We are driving into New Orleans Saturday Night. The drive takes about 12 hours. We cross Lake Pontchartrain Bridge and drive To I- 10 and we are at Hotel. All we need is a clean bed and place to leave car. We got a room at La Quinta Inn New Orleans Causeway $76.50 for one night. The Hotel is U shaped facing service road, which is like being fenced on 3 sides. The hotel has a large parking lot, they allow you to park for no extra cost for a week. The hotel said a taxi was about $20.00 for 2 to Port. We have been to Bourbon Street several times so we don't need a hotel downtown. This will be cheaper than parking at Port or Fulton Garage. What time should we arrive at the Port, we are only 15 minutes away? Leaving on Spirit the 3rd.

We are sailing one week after you, and I posted a thread on the NCL message board earlier today about this same topic. Boarding may start as early as 11:00-11:30 am. We will be arriving at the Pier at around 10:30. You have a GREAT deal.
