Post-Cruise Tour on December 26 (Boxing Day)?

We will disembark on Monday, December 26 (Boxing Day) and our flight will leave at 3:40 p.m. As our disembarkation day is a holiday, will all the attractions be closed? Is there anything we could do before going to the airport?

Boxing Day is not celebrated in PR. But since this year Xmas falls on Sunday, Monday the 26th will be an official holiday. However, it's only applicable to banks, government offices and some private businesses.

The forts will be open (they only close on Thanksgiving, Xmas and New Year's), as will stores and restaurants. Things will be pretty much normal. HTH!

Puerto Rico is part of Latin America (spanish speaking) and 'Boxing Day' is not celebrated, it is unknown. That day is celebrated in english speaking caribbean: Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Montserrat island, St. Christopher and Nevis island, British Virgin Islands and some areas of US Virgin Islands...
