Uniworld Rhine River SS Antoinette

Just returned from Amsterdam-to-Basel cruise on the Antoinette. Overall, the experience exceeded our expectations. Of the four optional tours (ranging from 35-59 Euros), we were a bit disappointed in the Black Forest excursion. A long bus ride for relatively short stops in two locations. One was a clock shop ("touristy"), the other at a recreated Black Forest village. Interesting, but not compelling. We skipped the Rudesheim dinner, but understood that those who attended had a fun time. The other two - Heidleburg Castle and Marksburg Castle - were well worth it.

Crew is friendly, rooms are great (esp with the views on the 300 & 400 decks), food is fabulous.

You're going to enjoy the experience!
