Princess Circle Question????

We are a group sailing on a Princess cruise. Two couples are platinum (9) members. ONe of our group has only sailed 6 times and they have Elite membership. They booked straight with princess. Is it normal to reward those that book with the cruise line?

Princess does not award special for booking direct. I think your friends benefited by a computer error. You can check by having them go online and check the number of cruises listed.. You need 15 completed cruises to be an Elite..

No, normally you don't get anything extra for booking directly with Princess. What's normal is for people to get assigned the wrong captain's circle level. The captain's circle database is not particularly well maintained.

 

On the other hand, there have been reports of people who had platinum status with another Carnival Corp. line being given platinum benefits on their first Princess cruise. But nothing in the captain's circle materials mention this, so it could just be another example of Princess assigning people the wrong captain's circle level.
