Kroger Grocery store-Galveston

We are staying at the Holiday Inn and there is a Kroger nearby.

 

Do they sell hard liquor and if so, is it limited to certain days or times?

Sorry, no hard liquor at Kroger's (decent wine section, though). In Texas, only liquor stores can sell hard stuff and not on Sundays. There's a Spec's on 61st St., but it won't be walking distance. BTW, good choice for hotel. I stayed at the Holiday Inn last November, and thoroughly enjoyed my time there.

There are several liquor stores on the island including one that has opened downtown on the Strand. Liquor store hours in Texas are 10am to 9pm and closed on Sunday.
