rino002 Posted April 7, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 7, 2011 my last cruise i had a penthouse suite (which was 4 weeks ago) and they called me and asked me if i wanted to upgrade to an owners suite for an xtra 250 dollars per person So im looking to sail again in beginning of June a friend asked me to sail with them, they dont have to much money so we are looking to book an inside cabin.. what are the chances if i book an inside cabin you think NCL will call us and upgrade us to a balcony? i know from the penthouse suite, to an owners suite is a big category change so i understand the the additional fee. but an inside to a balcony, isn't much of a difference in category?? anyone had this happen to them
starbot Posted April 7, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 7, 2011 Are you in a gurantee or something? Otherwise the chances, from what I can tell, are extremely low. Especially for free. Also, you sound like you have enough money to upgrade yourself and treat your friend if you really want the balcony... cruising twice in a year is pretty swanky, let alone twice in a month!! rino002 Posted April 7, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted April 7, 2011 see to me, they need another person to go, and i sailed over 7 times, and always had a balcony room. But like i said, the people im going with are on a budget. So the xtra 300 dollars, for the balcony is a lot for them... but im hearing about all these upsell/upgrades just curious if ncl would call ask to upgrade the room
Why Knot Me Posted April 7, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 7, 2011 Upsells are discussed here frequently but you should not count on getting one. They are not as common as much as they are discussed here.
