If you have cruised Ecstasy out of Galveston in the last couple of months - tell me your opinion which was the best bar on the ship and bartender?

DH and me will be on Ecstasy in 23 days.....

They move the bartenders around, the group that were working the casino bar in January were working the lobby bar in February, and the new bunch in the casino bar just didn't have a clue. Other times some of them just pop up in the strangest places. I know several of the bartenders we talked to were going home in April and May so there may be a lot of new faces.

Just wander around, you'll soon find your favorite. Mine are the lido forward port side in the late afternoon, the casino bar before dinner, maybe the piano bar if it's not to smoky after dinner and the lobby bar on the way back to the cabin for the night. Can't help you with the dance clubs, my bed time comes long before they get going.

I always keep a few dollar bills in my back pocket, although they add the 15% on the ticket a dollar here and there go a long way to make sure your server is attentive and remembers you.

My particular per peeve on the Ecstasy is that they close the bar on the non-smoking side of the lido deck at 4 in the afternoon. Always have.

And FWIW, my all time favorite is the bar on the lido deck aft on the Conquest, out of the sun, non smoking, great view. Wish I was there now.

I've found that the aft lido bar (by the deli) has always been my favorite. It never seems to busy, and it's the only place to get an adult beverage after the disco closes. (well I think you may be able to get drinks in the casino, but we're not usually in there late at night)
