No Catamarans at Progreso?

Hi, I have looked all over, but am not finding anything. Are there any catamaran trips available from Progreso?

 

Just looking for your typical booze cruise, or snorkeling cruise kind of thing. Seems odd that there aren't any from this port . . .

 

Might even be interested in chartering one, since we have a group of nine people.

I've not ever seen one advertised. Possibly because the North Coast of the Yucatan can be very windy.

Because Progreso is on the Gulf rather than the Caribbean, the water is not suitable for snorkling. The water is not that clear because the Yucatan state sits on a limestone shelf. I've never heard of "booze cruises" out of Progreso. This is Mexico, not Cancun or Cozumel or other glitzy touristy resort areas. Yes it would be nice to have a catamaran excursion to ride along side the waters of Progresso and take you nto Yucatan Resort... The catamaran in Cozumel is awesome even without the snorkeling.
