dsmagiccity Posted April 13, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2011 If we need extra cash (for the casino:)) do they have ATMs on board? What kind of fees do they charge?
SadieN Posted April 13, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 13, 2011 I remember seeing an ATM near the Shore Excursion desk. If you are going to be in the casino the easiest and cheapest way to get cash is from a slot machine. You can get cash taken off your S&S account and put into your Player's Bank. You can use the Player's Bank for the slots or go to the cashier to cash out for the tables. No fee to get cash this way but there is a fee thru the ATM and if you were to get cash while sitting at a table. The process thru the slot machines is much easier to do than to describe. The charges show up as 'Entertainment" so you do not incur any cash advance fee on your credit card. Assuming that you are using one to secure your S&S. tef43 Posted April 13, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 13, 2011 Never personally used one onboard, but I want to say it is at least $5, plus whatever fee your bank would charge for being out-of-network. People report also that the ATMs will frequently run out of cash early in the cruise. Still not as bad as one guy who sailed with us a few years back, wanted to get cash in Cozumel. Thought he was withdrawing $100, got 100 pesos (about $8.45) instead and ended up getting charged $10 in bank fees.
