Tideone Posted April 13, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2011 I was sitting at my computer, reading the posts on cruise critic, while eating my lunch, when my cell phone rang. While it was an unknown number, I took a chance and answered. Much to my surprise and delight, it was Ronnie, the Maitre'd from the LeBistro on the Epic. I had become friends with him while we were on the ship last week. He had asked for my phone number and told me he would keep in touch. But you know how that is, you meet someone and they tell you that and it never happens. Well, this time it did happen. He was taking a break while the ship is in Saint Thomas. He said the passenger count is down this week, only 3600 passengers, which gives them a chance to relax a little. However, he said next week was going to be a different story, with a full load expected for the Easter week holiday. If you get a chance while you are sailing the Epic, stop by the LeBistro, even if you aren't going to dinner, and meet Ronnie. He is really a great guy. It is so nice when you meet crew members that have a lasting impression and that you stay in touch with! Being away from family for months at a time for these people is difficult so it is nice that you are staying in touch.
