Why not swim at Maho Beach?

We had a great time swimming at Maho. We did go to Orient beach, then over to Maho, just because we wanted to see both. But we decided, next time, we may just stay at Maho the whole time. The thing about Maho is that it is not a gradual drop off, so it probably wouldn't be approp with little kids. My kids are 11 and 15, and LOVED it!! The water was crystal clear, and the beach was really clean. The day we were there, the water was very calm. We were just there at the end of March, and had a great time! Per my kids, the highlight of our trip.

We just returned from Maho and it was my 4th time there. We have been when the water is calm but also rough. Last week the undertow was very strong. I did not go in far at all. I am not a strong swimmer. The beach is coming back nice after last seasons hurricane. We were there in December as well but there was not much beach. Now plenty of room for those brave people who like to get blown into the water or ride the fence. I enjoy watching this craziness:p

We love to be there and we always have a great time, great food and can still stick our toes in the beautiful water.
