Vantage Air?

We are going on our first Vantage river cruise in Sept-October. After they posted our preliminary air from JFK to Amsterdam I booked our flights to and from JFK on my own.

Now I see that in addition to KLM flights, AA flights are also listed. Is it normal for Vantage to show multiple airlines on your air itinerary?

 

I think we will be OK with the air I booked because we get to JFK early in the afternoon for a late night International flight and the day after we return from Europe, so there is plenty of wiggle room. Just wondering how it worked out for others who booked their own flights between home and JFK.
