s1kmad3 Posted April 18, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 18, 2011 Hi all, As I am going over our plans for each Port, I am now in a quandary and looking for answers. So we originally decided on Sandhaven/Runaway Bay for some beach, sun, swimming and jet skiing. But after going through MANY threads and doing several searches we are deadlocked! What we are looking for: Motorized water recreation (jet skis), chair/umbrella rental, Bar/restaurant, bathrooms w/showers. Two other ships will be in port that day so im expecting the beaches to be crowded? Any and all suggestions, opinions and tips are welcomed!! Caribbean Beach Bum Posted April 19, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 19, 2011 Long Bay and Valley Church are 2 excellent beaches. No showers but everything else you're looking for. I've also read good things about Darkwood and Tanner's but have not visited them myself.

Caribbean Beach Bum Posted April 20, 2011 #5 Share Posted April 20, 2011 How were the bathroom conditions at Long Bay & Valley Church? At Long Bay there is are 2 bathrooms, one for women and one for men and they are immediately next to and i believe attached to the beach bar. I would compare the quality to an average gas station bathroom. At Valley Church, there again is a men's and a women's bathroom but they are separate from the bar and were a little better. At Valley Church, there are separate changing stalls so this is helpful and probably keeps the bathroom from getting too messed up. I don't recall any shower facilities at either beach.
