Parrot Jungle

Hi! I am new to the boards and have a question. I have 2 kids 3 & 5 and we are going to be in miami. I have heard about parrot jugle as an excursion. Is it worth it? Is is just like a zoo? Would a day at south beach be better (shopping and beach time)? Any info is greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

I haven't been to the "new" Parrot Jungle, it recently moved to a new facility in a new location.

 

As far as South Beach being "better", that depends on you, and what you and your family like.

Parrot Jungle Island is fabulous. My DH and I go there every time we are in Miami. We have birds at home, but love to see and interact with the birds there. It's clean, new and a wonderful way to spend a day with family. Make sure you get a photo with the macaws. The shows are great also. If you love parrots, it's the place to go.
