We were on the Epic in January with my lactose intolerant DD. They went out of their way to make sure she had dessert choices every night. They did not have lactose free ice cream, but they did have sorbet and other items like tarts and crisps that were lactose free. You can contact the special needs department in advance of your cruise for accomodations. We didn't do that but for us it wasn't even necessary since there were other options. Every meal, we'd mention that she was lactose intolerant. The waitstaff made sure with the chef that her meal was lactose free. In some cases, they would modify the meal simply by holding the sauces etc.

Up in the Garden Cafe they did have two choices of frozen yogurt during my voyage. Sherbert was also available too. Hope that helps! :)
