For a daytime visit, there is almost no risk for malaria. Malaria is transmitted by the Anopheles mosquito that bites primarily between dusk and dawn. Here is some excellent information here:

However, mosquitos that transmit Dengue Fever do bite during daylight hours, so it is important to use insect repellant to avoid bites.
