pharmacistkaren Posted March 13, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2005 I am going on the Mariner in April and I am looking forward to :) using the fitness facilities. I am wondering if anyone has taken any classes or had any thoughts on the exercise area/program??
sailrnav Posted March 13, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2005 You can use the exercise facilities anytime on your own. The stretch class early in the morning, usually about 0745 and the aerobics class at 0815 are free. Most of the rest of the classes have a fee involved (pilotes, yoga, etc.). There is a walk available usually twice a day. All of the above earn Royal Caribbean Bucks that you can trade for logowear at the end of the cruise. Have fun! RCCL advertises a jogging track, but it really doesn't exist. By about 10am it is full of lounge chairs. So you have to do your running early. Carnival is the only cruise line with an actual dedicated running track.
superjerryw Posted March 13, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 13, 2005 The fitness facilities on the Voyager class ships are very good. For aerobic workouts there is a nice selection of treadmills and elliptical traininers. Plenty of weight training machines and some free weights as well. You should have no trouble getting a good workout.
