Loonbeam Posted April 21, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 21, 2011 Jack and Coke is a Jack and Coke. Soda card does not affect it. I think sodas were about $2 ea with the tip, only canned soda was root beer.

If you buy an individual soda you will receive a can and a glass of ice. The price was $1.95 + 15% gratuity for a total cost of $2.24. You would need to buy an average of more than 2.3 sodas a day to make the Soda Card cost effective.

The price of that drink is the price of that drink, whether or not you pre-paid for your soda or not. ;) If you are asking about buying a bottle for your stateroom, that is for in cabin consumption. You can bring a glass of coke to your stateroom if you would like and add Jack D to it, but you are not supposed to pour yourself Jack D in a glass in your stateroom and then carry it to a bar to add a mixer to it. There is not much question as to couples that purchase one soda card and use it indiscriminately for them both. Rightly or not, we do see this happen. But the secondary question pertains to the bar set up that Princess gives to Elite passengers. As the multiple 50 ml bottles are a gift from the company, what restrictions are placed upon their use? Could you take one of these to a public area and pour it into a soda filled glass for your consumption? It is a gift. We have always wondered about that

We have always wondered about that I would say that this is not what they had in mind when supplying the mini bar set up. Just as when you order a bottle of liquor from the gift section before you cruise or from room service after you arrive, that is for in cabin consumption only (or at least supposed to be).
