FoghornLeghorn Posted April 21, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 21, 2011 I'll be doing a TA from Southampton to NY and wondering where the QM2 docks. (I've not been able to find that on the Cunard website) I'm assuming I'll fly home out of JFK, unless someone thinks another airport would be better. I'll be purchasing air fare soon. What should I do for transfers from the QM2 to the airport? any suggestions or cost of QM2 transfers?? Thanks in advance!!
Classiccruiser777 Posted April 22, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 22, 2011 Most likely the QM2 will dock at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. A taxi to JFK would cost around $45 depending upon traffic. Cunard also offers bus service to the airport.
Rare david,Mississauga Posted April 22, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 22, 2011 The QM2 will be using the Manhattan terminal on the following dates: 17 May, 1 July, 6 July. That, of course, is subject to change.

Do you have the time to stay overnight in NYC before you return? If so, why not extend your trip by one night? If you find a good fare from Newark, book a hotel in Staten Island...so many options. Check out what airfare is most favorable regarding your return flight if your schedule is flexible. But regarding your question, yes QM2 does transfers to the airport. My understanding from passengers flying back to London on flight departing after 5-6pm was that the Cunard tour of NY and transport to the airport worked well. Did you get a good pair of deck shoes? :) Looking forward to your comments about your very exciting voyage. Regards -S.

FoghornLeghorn Posted April 22, 2011 Author #7 Share Posted April 22, 2011 Salacia: I really appreciate all your help. You're a gem! Since I'll have been on a trip for a little over 30 days when I get into NY (the last stop) I'll be ready to get home and not spend a night in NY. Had it been a shorter trip, that would be a great idea. I love NY.
