Biking in Dubrovnik?

One of the excursions on our ship offered for Dubrovnik is biking in Konalve Valley (about 7 miles, beginning in Gruda and along the Ljuta River). We will be in port that day from morning until 11 p.m., so we thought it might be a nice day to do something active like this and still hopefully have time leftover to see the old town. Has anyone done this, and if so, was it worth doing?
