Dzua Ha and Paradise Beach

Four of us want to split up; 2 to Paradise Beach and 2 to Dzua Ha. How far apart are they and if they are close can we share a taxi to one, drop off 2 and continue to the other one. If so, which one will we come to first? We are coming in on Carnival Elation ship.

Also, how's the weather in the middle of April usally?

You can share a taxi but the cost will probably be the same as if you took two separate ones. Dzul Ha will be first, $7 cab fare, then PB where they will probably charge you the full $12. April in Cozumel is the beginning of the heat. Expect very warm temps, as in about 85 or more.

We are thinking about going to Dzul Ha first and then to PB. Are there taxis readily avaliable from Dzul Ha? How long is the ride?

Thanks

cruisingrobert,

The taxi fare is negotiated before you get in, there are no meters. I doubt that they would ask $12 from DH to PB, but you need to set the price first. $5 seems reasonable.

I wouldn't try walking. It will be very hot, the road is dusty, and every 30 seconds you will see a taxi whizzing up to you and slam on the brakes, and ask if you need a ride.

Actually, taxi prices are not negotiated or bargained. There is a set schedule of prices and the drivers seldom, if ever, deviate from that.

However, you should be sure to ask the price before you get in the taxi. Also, bring mostly small denomination currency so you will have exact change. Sometime the drivers are "unable" to make change.
